Good morning boys and girls, It’s a great pleasure for me/It’s nice to to give you a speech here. Nowadays mastering a foreign language is very helpful in our daily life. I feel it a great honor to share my opinions about English learning with you.

Firstly, I believe it is useful to remember as many sentence patterns as possible.

Secondly, we should try our best to read more English newspapers and magazines after class, which helps to improve our reading abilities. Besides, TV programmes are of great help to us.

Last but not least, it’s necessary for us to communicate with foreign friends as much as possible and increase our awareness of foreign cultures, which can also help to improve our English. However, sometimes I find it difficult to pronounce some English words correctly. I would appreciate it if someone could give me some advice. Thanks for your attention

The Tibetan Antelope Kneeling On Its knees

Today I am going to tell you a true story about a life-altering event that happened to an old hunter from Tibet’s northern lands.

Early in the morning, the hunter saw a group of Tibetan antelopes on grass hill near his tent. He rushed out of his tent and mounted his horse with his rifle. The antelopes all quickly ran away except one. A strong, fat one ran only a few steps and came back. It looked imploringly at him, stepped up towards him and then knelt on its knees with tears streaming down from its eyes. Feeling softhearted for a flashing moment, the hunter did not pull the trigger. But after he shut his eyes, pulled the trigger and the antelope fell onto the ground in a kneeling position with discernible tears still on its face.

The old hunter restlessly cut the Tibetan antelope open. What he had saw made him choke on his breath and the knife fell on the ground with a crash. He saw a baby antelope lying in the womb, surely dead. All of a sudden he realized why the antelope was strong and fat and why it heavily knelt before him and cried: It was imploring him to have mercy on its baby!

The old hunter buried the antelope and its unborn baby together with his hunting rifle that day

I will never forget this story. Today I told it to more people and I’d like to point out: In the world the kneeling of loving mothers, whatever of human being or animal is sacred. Lives of all kinds are equal. Let us care about the nature, care about our life with our affection and respect to the life. Hopefully we could live harmoniously, as part of nature.

Be Like a Pine Tree And Bear What You Can

School had been very easy for me in the beginning. I had been the usual routine---show up for school, complete assignments, take tests, get grades. And that was usually straight A’s. I thought school was that easy.

Suddenly middle school began. Sure, I was a top student for six years, why would it be any harder? It was; the bad mark in a pop quiz deeply humbled me.

I became very resentful and angry about my situation. I felt so depressed for feeling inferior.

One winter day we had a heavy snow. Mother took me for a long walk. “ See those elm trees,” she said. “ The branches are broken. The trees may die. But look at those pine trees! They are not hurt by the snow.” “ When they have more snow than they can hold, they lower the branches and let the snow slip away. The next morning they are as good as ever.”

“There are just two kinds of trees in the world: the stubborn and the wise. Be like a pine tree. Bear what you can, then let the load slide off. You will move forward lightly.”

Yes, “Be like a pine tree. Bear what you can! ” Shake off resentment, angry and depression. We will have a bright future.

as we all know, the earth is a planet almost covered by water, and it is water made every thing on the earth lively.water is also one of the important part of our environment.though,is there really so much water for us to clean,to produce many things,to play with? how much water are there on the earth then?

most of the water is in the oceans or locked away as ice.the largest volumes of fresh water are stored underground as groundwater, imagine there is only one barrel of water in the world, then there is only a spoon of it on the land, and the water we can use is only a drop of it.now i have to remind all of you here that the single drop of water is never as clean as before,it has been polluted severely by our human beings.

there is a very beautiful river in paris.it is the seine,it runs across the city, people drink coffee, chat on the bank in the day,at night, they enjoy the beautiful scenery in the boat, songs from the river fly into the sky made the river more attractive, the seine is a famous symbol of france;on the west coast of pacific ocean there lies the modern city shanghai, another river which used to be a very important transportation route runs through the center of the city, people respected and regard it as"mother".it is the"suzhou river, but l believe that few of you would sit beside it,people will be scattered by the terrible smell of water when walk by.i have to say it is extremely dirty! and we all know that a lot of beautiful rivers in the world also are sharing the same fate with suzhou river. who is the devil? i can't help asking.

many human activities and their by-products have the potential to pollute water. please have a look along the banks of the river, large and small industrial enterprises discharge dirty water, tons of garbage were thrown into the river, the water contained so much that it can't clean itself. compared with the dramatic development in many sides of shanghai, the suzhou river has become a black point of the appearance of city.

fortunately, the government has control the situation now, we are happy to see some parts of the river has become clean again, and we even can find fish sometime.

the unique earth is the only planet full of lives, the water is just like the blood in the active body, protecting water is saving ourselves. not to waste a single drop of water, otherwise, the only drop of water we could keep in the future would be our tear!

my dear friends, mankind still faces a great difficulty in solving the problems of the environment and development, and there is a grand task to perform and along way to go. the middle school students in china will always cooperate with the young people of the world to protect the environment.

The importance of time Good morning, dear teacher and my friends!

My name is .I’m a student of Great 7 from *middle school. I ’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech today. My topic is “the importance of time”.

Someone says: “Time is money!” But I think time is even more important than money. Why? Because when money is spent, we can get it back. However, When time is gone,It will never return no matter how rich you are.

But it is a pity that there are a lot of people who do not know the importance of time . They spend all day on smorking, drinking and playing. They do not know that wasting time means wasting life.

As to us, a middle schoole student, School time is a very important period for our growing up. We should make full use of it to do something usefull, just like learning different kinds of knowledge , taking exercise for a good health and so on.

In a word , we should save time.Time is limited and so,very precious. It will not return any more when it is gone.

That’s all for my speech.Thank you!

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

It's the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.

It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.

I just received a very gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he's fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. He has endured sacrifices for America that most of us cannot begin to imagine, and we are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader. I congratulate him and Governor Palin for all they have achieved, and I look forward to working with them to renew this nation's promise in the months ahead.

I want to thank my partner in this journey, a man who campaigned from his heart and spoke for the men and women he grew up with on the streets of Scranton and rode with on that train home to Delaware, the Vice President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden.

I would not be standing here tonight without the unyielding support of my best friend for the last sixteen years, the rock of our family and the love of my life, our nation's next First Lady, Michelle Obama. Sasha and Malia, I love you both so much, and you have earned the new puppy that's coming with us to the White House. And while she's no longer with us, I know my grandmother is watching, along with the family that made me who I am. I miss them tonight, and know that my debt to them is beyond measure.

To my campaign manager David Plouffe, my chief strategist David Axelrod, and the best campaign team ever assembled in the history of politics - you made this happen, and I am forever grateful for what you've sacrificed to get it done.

But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to - it belongs to you.

I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn't start with much money or many endorsements. Our campaign was not hatched in the halls of Washington - it began in the backyards of Des Moines and the living rooms of Concord and the front porches of Charleston.

Everyone have dreams which are everybody yearning. The man who without dreams in his life will be empty but dreams always be changing as your thought go forward.

When I was in primary school I had a dream. I hope that I won't have homework to do one day. But the time we can play have became less and less and 1/3 in our day we were imprisoned in the classroom so many time on study!

And till I come to the junior high school I had a dream I hope I can become a good childI can be praised by my family when I return home;can be sure by teachers at school; and can have a outstanding performance among the classmates .So shortly afterwards I had learned to struggle. However at my high school every day is bustling Sometimes bad temper is too strong to be controlled but life made me understand the truth to conduct myself slowly。Fortunately I worked hard every day I got up early and went to bed late grasp myself and never lighten up.

All day,all the time I am searching hardly and fight for a bright future.

With the dream chase turned up with the goal power turned up. Dream is a high bridge regardless of whether it can reach the other shore。 To process dreams and to pursue them try to make them come true this is a kind of success a kind of glory. In the process of the pursuit of dreams we are growing up!!

Dreams can urge people make progress endlessly perhaps in this road we will meet many difficulties and frustrations but never mind where you fall down is where you should stand up for your dream and future! After all the future not only rely on luck also depend on our own.

Friends let us work together! Because I believe that no pain no gain!!

I remember when I was young; my mother often described the beauty of the grasslands through this poem: “tian cang cang, ye mang mang, feng chui cao di xian niu yang”. it means in English “Clear skies, sweeping plains, the grass bowing before the wind, revealing grazing horses and sheep.” I could recite this even before entering primary school.

16years ago, my mother visited one of the grassland of Inner Mongolia. She said that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. With her description firmly printed on my mind I began to long for a tour to the grassland.

Sadly, this marvelous image that I had in my mind changed completely when my mum and I visited the grassland a year ago. As soon as we got there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. What was in front of me was just a piece of land with loosely grown grass. In the far distance I saw only a couple of horses feeding lazily. I asked my mother: “Where is the lush, tall grass?” As puzzled as me, she said nothing. I was shocked to see the differences between the grassland in my dream and what was in front of me.

On the way home, I thought a lot and tried to find answers.

Now I am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dream for the grasslands. Overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grassland and so taken away the charm of our homeland. But I am confident that one day the grasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as long as everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.

  Turn Exercise into Fun

  Doing exercise

  Having fun

When having to make a choice most people think they have to choose between the two. Far too often people go for the latter and naturally choose fun. For instance many people would prefer watching television, or more commonly known as TV to exercising, we all know that it’s true, right? The problem is, if you don’t exercise you will become weak and ultimately out of shape and it is no fun to be out of shape, right? So the question is, why not turn exercise into fun?

As an example, if TV is your favorite thing to do, why not connect your TV set to an electric generator that is charged by a stationary bike, you know, the kind of bike you peddle, that doesn’t go anywhere. So think about it, the more you watch TV, the fitter you’ll be.

Now if you are the kind of person who thinks listening to music is fun and you spend many hours alone tap tap tapping your fingers and your toes to the beat, why not take it one step further and get up on your feet and dance, dance, dance.

Or maybe you’re the type of person who prefers being with your friends. There are many ways one could have fun with their pals. For instance you could just hang out and do nothing or better yet you could get into a friendly game of basketball or football there is no rule that says everyone has to be as good as Yao Ming or David Beckham, right?

However sometimes there just aren’t enough players, or you may even be alone in which case you could go for a ride on your bike, maybe, stop by the library to borrow a book, or go for a walk around the park and enjoy the sunshine and scenery. Before you know it, you’re having fun.

Let’s face it, exercise is work and when we think of work we think of thankless underpaid hardships yet it needn’t be this way, if we think of exercise as fun.

Halloween is for the "All Hallow's Evening"。 However, due to various reasons, Halloween has become the year's most popular and one of the most popular festivals, and many players with great enthusiasm to celebrate this holiday。

Halloween in the October 31, in fact, praise and autumn festivals like Beltane is the festival of spring like the praise。 Of ancient Gaul, Britain and Ireland priest - druid to have a grand festival praise of autumn, from October 31 beginning at midnight the following day, November 1 continued all day。 In their view, that night they are a great Death - Salman to that year were all summoned the ghost of dead people, these evil spirits are subject to care for the Livestock Health and punishment。 Of course, as long as the thought of such a gathering of ghosts, it was enough to make fools of those simple-minded understanding of the heart bile war。 So they lit the sky of the bonfire, and close surveillance of these evil spirits。

Halloween witches and ghosts everywhere to say is just the beginning。 So far in Europe, there are some isolated areas where people believe it is true。 Ancient Rome in November 1 there is also a holiday, which is used to pay tribute to their goddess of Bo Mona。 They bear ribs roasted nuts and apples before the bonfire。 Our own Halloween seems to be a holiday by the Romans and the druid's holiday blend made of。 Halloween activities in the original is very simple, and mostly in the church carried out。 However, in the whole of Europe, it is regarded as a Halloween enjoy slapstick, Jiangguigushi and a good opportunity to scare each other。 So people will no longer be used to praise this Autumn Festival, but it becomes supernatural, witches and ghosts festival。

  我們(men)考試的時候(hou),聽力填詞或者(zhe)做題都需要我們(men)掌握詞匯,聽懂(dong)英(ying)語(yu)(yu)(yu)。這是一門語(yu)(yu)(yu)言,我們(men)就應該進(jin)行(xing)練習(xi)(xi),多(duo)說多(duo)看,如果有時間,我們(men)可(ke)以(yi)看一些英(ying)語(yu)(yu)(yu)書籍,鍛煉(lian)自己(ji)的英(ying)語(yu)(yu)(yu)學(xue)(xue)習(xi)(xi)能(neng)力,學(xue)(xue)習(xi)(xi)更(geng)多(duo)的詞匯。學(xue)(xue)習(xi)(xi)不可(ke)能(neng)一蹴而就,全靠每天努力學(xue)(xue)習(xi)(xi),我們(men)學(xue)(xue)習(xi)(xi)英(ying)語(yu)(yu)(yu)的重點(dian)分為單(dan)詞,語(yu)(yu)(yu)法,聽力這三方面。

  對于(yu)單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci),我(wo)(wo)們(men)就(jiu)應該多(duo)記多(duo)背,單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci)需要每(mei)(mei)(mei)天(tian)(tian)記憶(yi),而且需要重復記憶(yi),如(ru)(ru)(ru)果(guo)你(ni)當天(tian)(tian)記住了這(zhe)個單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci),但你(ni)卻不愿意一(yi)直復習(xi),總會有一(yi)天(tian)(tian)忘記。我(wo)(wo)們(men)除了學(xue)(xue)習(xi)新單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci),更要復習(xi)已經學(xue)(xue)過的(de)(de)(de)單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci),現在我(wo)(wo)們(men)需要學(xue)(xue)習(xi)的(de)(de)(de)單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci)比較少,那(nei)我(wo)(wo)們(men)就(jiu)應該把他(ta)們(men)完(wan)全掌(zhang)握(wo)。比如(ru)(ru)(ru)我(wo)(wo)們(men)每(mei)(mei)(mei)天(tian)(tian)學(xue)(xue)習(xi)十個單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci),兩(liang)天(tian)(tian)后我(wo)(wo)們(men)就(jiu)必須要再(zai)次溫(wen)習(xi)我(wo)(wo)們(men)學(xue)(xue)過的(de)(de)(de)單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci),如(ru)(ru)(ru)果(guo)這(zhe)樣(yang)(yang)感覺記憶(yi)非(fei)常(chang)累,那(nei)么我(wo)(wo)們(men)可以通過閱讀英(ying)語文章(zhang)來(lai)加(jia)強單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci)記憶(yi),并且每(mei)(mei)(mei)天(tian)(tian)堅持,只要我(wo)(wo)們(men)每(mei)(mei)(mei)天(tian)(tian)都按時學(xue)(xue)習(xi),掌(zhang)握(wo)更多(duo)的(de)(de)(de)單(dan)詞(ci)(ci)(ci)我(wo)(wo)們(men)的(de)(de)(de)基礎就(jiu)能夠打牢固,這(zhe)樣(yang)(yang)就(jiu)方便了接下來(lai)的(de)(de)(de)學(xue)(xue)習(xi)。

  掌握(wo)(wo)了單詞(ci)后,我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)就應該認真(zhen)學(xue)習(xi)語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),畢竟(jing)西方的說(shuo)話習(xi)慣,與我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)不(bu)同(tong),而(er)且表達的'意(yi)思也有出入,我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)不(bu)但(dan)要(yao)(yao)掌握(wo)(wo)各種句(ju)型(xing)(xing),更要(yao)(yao)明白如何(he)運用,現在有很(hen)多有關語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)的書(shu)籍可以供我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)參考,老(lao)師(shi)上課所講的語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)比較少,我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)也可以利用時間(jian)多學(xue)一(yi)些語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),學(xue)習(xi)語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)不(bu)但(dan)可以讓我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)掌握(wo)(wo)英語(yu)說(shuo)話習(xi)慣,也能夠讓我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)復習(xi)鞏(gong)固(gu)所學(xue)的單詞(ci)。對我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)的幫助很(hen)大。練習(xi)語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)的最好辦法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa),就是多做題,通過(guo)不(bu)同(tong)的題型(xing)(xing)練習(xi)自(zi)(zi)己(ji)的語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)熟練度,而(er)且各種語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)必須要(yao)(yao)背誦掌握(wo)(wo)下來(lai),當我(wo)(wo)們(men)(men)記(ji)住的語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)多了,習(xi)慣成自(zi)(zi)然,就不(bu)會覺得這些語(yu)法(fa)(fa)(fa)(fa)難以接受。

  在(zai)英(ying)語(yu)(yu)考試中聽力是(shi)鍛煉我們(men)(men)英(ying)語(yu)(yu)溝(gou)通能(neng)力,如果我們(men)(men)學習(xi)(xi)(xi)了(le)英(ying)語(yu)(yu),卻不會用英(ying)語(yu)(yu)溝(gou)通,而且別人說的(de)英(ying)語(yu)(yu)自己(ji)也聽不懂(dong),那不是(shi)等(deng)于沒學嗎。我們(men)(men)之所以學習(xi)(xi)(xi)英(ying)語(yu)(yu)最(zui)主要(yao)(yao)的(de)目(mu)的(de)就(jiu)是(shi)為了(le)更(geng)好溝(gou)通,所以想要(yao)(yao)練(lian)習(xi)(xi)(xi)自己(ji)的(de)聽力,我們(men)(men)不但要(yao)(yao)多聽英(ying)語(yu)(yu)磁帶(dai),更(geng)要(yao)(yao)多說,要(yao)(yao)糾正(zheng)自己(ji)的(de)發音(yin),勤學苦練(lian)中能(neng)夠學到更(geng)多。

There is a great kingdom under the sea. Where all the merpeople live and swim free. The king of the mermaids, Poseidon the Great, has six pretty daughters-the youngest is eight.

Her name is Titania. She's golden hair. She likes to hear stories from grandmother fair. She tells her stories of a land far away where people don't swim-they walk, as they say.

"When can I see them? Can we go now?" "When you're sixteen, deer, but not right now.”

So every night, when it's time to sleep, she dreams of this land and then falls a sleep.

Dear friends! Do you still remember your first English teacher? You may say:” Yes.” Everyone has his teachers, in my mind, I’ll never forget her---my first English teacher Ms. Li. Without her, I wouldn’t be standing here. She is a young and lovely lady with beautiful eyes. Her voice sounds sweet and she speaks English very well. That was the first impression she left on us when she first gave us an English lesson.

In her class, she taught us carefully and patiently. she has a strange way of making her class lively and interesting. She always made opportunities for us to speak English. She gave us many beautiful pictures to talk on them, played games with us and told us many interesting stories. She made us learn from games. We learned English with great fun. After class she helped the students who had trouble in learning English.

Little by little, I had interest in English, but English was a new subject to me, I had many difficulties in learning it well. I often felt very confused. Even though I wanted to give up learning English. It was Ms. Li who helped me to find ways to overcome my difficulties. She helped me to practice speaking English everyday. She always encouraged me whenever I lost heart. She helped me to have confidence in myself. She gave me what I needed, courage, confidence, good ways to learn

English and opportunities to speak English in class. So I was grateful for her. Maybe I can’t meet her again. The only thing I can give her is my best wishes. I wish my dear teacher happiness, good health and good luck. And I also want to say to her: Thank you, Ms. Li. I love you!

  Please Think A Minute

Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons. On the weekend, I often go to the English corner. By talking with different people there, I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English.I hope I can travel around the world someday.

I want to go to America to visit Washington Monument, because the president Washington is my idol. Of course, I want to go to London too, because England is where English language developed. Discovering Beauty

Life is full of beauty. Beauty lies not only in nature but also in our heart. If we have a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted, we can find beauty everywhere around.

Let beauty be our guide to understand ourselves. People always have a strong desire for better appearance. Whatever their age, size, or shape, they hope to look more attractive. Beauty is only skin deep. But true beauty lies deep inside us. A heart for love is the most valuable. Only in our heart does beauty make our life beautiful.

Let beauty be our way to communicate with nature. At the foot of the hill, we see beauty running in the clear river smoothly. On top of the mount, we see beauty rising with the dawn from the east quietly. In the heat of summer, we see beauty dancing with the autumn leaves. In the cold of winter, we see beauty coming with the spring upon sprouts. We shout, we love you, Nature! Our voice reverberates across the mountains, while beauty reverberates in our heart!

Let beauty be our bridge between man and nature. In the harmony, beauty is a garden for ever in bloom and a flock of angels for ever in flight.

Beauty is something to see, to breathe, to feel and to complete. Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.

  A dream

Dear friend ,whenever and wherever I think of China, I feel very much proud of my motherland. Not only because of its vast land and rich culture but also for the great changes that have been taken place here . Especially after the 20xx Beijing Olympic Games, China has emerged from its humble past to be a world power , my motherland is becoming more and more prosperous .

However , at the same time , the environmental problem is becoming more and more serious . You may still remember that "Green Olympics" is one of the three themes of Beijing Olympic Games . But there is still something that does not go with the Green Olympics in our daily life . For instance:we can always see plastic bags flying everywhere when it's windy ; illegal advertisements lying on the overbridge or the pavements look like scars of the city ; some people even go to sleep with there light on for whole night .

As a middle school student , I am proud of the prosperity of my motherland , while also worried about the environmental problems we are facing . I am eager to do something to make my motherland more beautiful , so I have already taken actions . I have put up signs asking people not to step on grasses in my school and I have helped plant trees in the park . I have also called on my classmates to help clean the nearby neighborhood on volunteering day .

One finger can not lift a small stone . It's necessary to get everybody to take actions so as to make China a powerful and strong country in the world .

My country has a bright foreground , I believe that in the future, more and more people would be proud of China just like I do. For it's not only a country of high technology and modernization, but also a country of green ideas and environmental friendliness .

I will contribute my whole life to my mother- China, and devote all my life to respond her. I wish my motherland much prosperous and strong each day , and I wish our green homeland lasting forever !

I am proud --I am a son of China!

  Be Grateful to Life

At the beginning I would like to share a story with you. Once American President Roosevelt’s house was broken into and lots of things were stolen. Hearing this, one of his friends wrote to comfort him. President Roosevelt wrote back immediately, saying:“Dear friend, thank you for your letter, but I am all right now. I think I should thank God. for three reasons: firstly, the thief only stole things from me but did not hurt me at all; secondly, the thief has stolen some of my things instead of all my things; thirdly, most luckily for me, it was the man rather than me who became a thief.

It is certainly unlucky for anyone to be stolen from. However, President Roosevelt had three reasons to be grateful. This story tells us we should learn to be grateful in our life. There is a sentence from Mahatma Gandhi:“Live as you were to die tomorrow, learn as you were to live forever. ”

Great people are always showing their love to the world. How about us?You can not do everything, but still you can do something. So, be grateful to your life, all the people and things in your life.

Be grateful to the nature, for the fresh air you breathe, the clean water you drink, the beautiful flower you smell.

Be grateful to your parents, for they gave birth to you and taught you right from wrong.

Be grateful to your teachers, for they let you understand “what”,“how”and“why” with great patience.

Be grateful to your friends, for you have known each other since you were 9 or 10 and faced the difficulties together for so many years.

Be grateful to your lover, for he/she gave you love and helped you find the sun every time you were down.

Mother Teresa once said:“People really need help, but may attack you if you help them. Help people anyway; Give the world the best you have and you may get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.” At last I want to say: being grateful can bring us a better and more beautiful life. Why don’t we have a try? Let’s get it started!

  Thank you for your listening!

While I was schooling in Australia, my friends from school and I received a n assignment one day, "To make a ten to twenty minute movie on the topic of your choice." At the time, the trend was based around the popular Matrix movie trilogy, so that became our obvious choice.

Because our schedule was very tight, and it was a first time experience, we found it all very hard work, but when we released our production at school, it was worth it. After my friends and I showed the movie, we could not get from one end of the school to the other without getting congratulated about five or six times. We, especially I, were proud. We made a school-wide sensation.

From then on, I became obsessed with how to make movies and how filming is done. I just wanted to know about everyone and everything that has something to do with movies. I would watch a movie four to five times, just to find out how one camera angle, or special effect was produced. I found everything I watched quite amazing. I sometimes admired directors and producers of these films because the techniques they use are so smart. Their cleverness inspired me to make and act in movies.

When I become little bit older, I would like to attend a movie academy in Beijing or Shanghai, then America, or England, after some training and experience, I would like to make a movie, which will most likely be an action movie, which is my favorite kind of movie to watch.. If I am lucky, I hope I would get an Oscar Award for this movie. I think that would be quite a challenge, but it’s not impossible. For now, it’s back to watching movies over and over again for me!

初中生英語演講稿34

It is a commonplace among moralists that you cannot get happiness by pursuing it. This is only true if you pursue it unwisely. Gamblers at Monte Carlo are pursuing money, and most of them lose it instead, but there are other ways of pursuing money, which often succeed. So it is with happiness.

If you pursue it by means of drink, you are forgetting the hangover. Epicurus pursued it by living only in congenial society and eating only dry bread, supplemented by a little cheese on feast days. His method proved successful in his case, but he was a valetudinarian, and most people would need something more vigorous. For most people, the pursuit of happiness, unless supplemented in various ways, is too abstract and theoretical to be adequate as a personal rule of life.

But I think that whatever personal rule of life you may choose it should not, except in rare and heroic cases, be incompatible with happiness. If you look around at the men and women whom you can call happy, you will see that they all have certain things in common.
